How to Set Up SAML SSO with Azure (Microsoft Entra ID) for Amplemarket

Last updated: May 13, 2026

This guide walks you through configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML in Microsoft Azure (Entra ID) for use with Amplemarket.

Overview

To enable SSO with Amplemarket, you will:

  1. Create a new Enterprise Application in Azure

  2. Configure SAML-based SSO

  3. Generate a Metadata URL

  4. Share the Metadata URL with Amplemarket

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log into Microsoft Entra ID

  • Go to the Azure portal

  • Open the navigation menu

  • Select Microsoft Entra ID

2. Create a New Enterprise Application

  • Click Enterprise Applications

  • Select + New Application

  • Click Create your own application

Configure the application:

  • Name: Use something like Amplemarket

    • (If you already have one, you can differentiate with naming like Amplemarket - Prod)

  • Select:

    • “Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery”

  • Click Create

3. Set Up Single Sign-On (SAML)

  • Open your newly created application

  • Click Set up single sign-on

  • Select SAML

Azure will now generate the SAML configuration, including your Metadata URL

4. Copy the Metadata URL

  • Locate the App Federation Metadata URL

  • Copy this value

5. Send Metadata URL to Amplemarket

  • Share the Metadata URL with your Amplemarket contact (e.g., Solutions Engineer or Support)

Amplemarket will complete the configuration on the backend.

What Happens Next?

Once Amplemarket configures your Metadata URL:

  • SSO will be enabled for your workspace

  • You can begin assigning users to the application in Azure

  • Users will be able to log in via Azure SSO

Notes & Tips

  • You do not need to configure additional SAML fields manually for initial setup

  • User provisioning (assigning users/groups) happens after SSO is enabled

  • If you manage multiple environments (e.g., staging vs prod), create separate applications
