Voicemail Drops in the Dialer

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Voicemail Drops let you record a voicemail once and leave it with one click whenever you reach a prospect's voicemail. You don't have to wait through the greeting and repeat the same message. Drop your pre-recorded voicemail and move on, and Amplemarket waits for the beep and plays your recording for you.

Voicemail Drops work with both the Amplemarket Dialer and the Parallel Dialer.

Before you start

  • The Amplemarket Dialer must be enabled on your account. See Enabling the Amplemarket Dialer.

  • Voicemails are personal. Each user records and manages their own.

  • To record in your browser, allow Amplemarket to access your microphone.

Create a voicemail

  1. Go to Settings > Calls (open Call Settings).

  2. Under Advanced features, find Voicemail and click Record.

  3. Choose how to add your message:

    • Record: select your microphone and record a message of up to 2 minutes.

    • Upload: upload an MP3 or WAV file of up to 5 MB.

  4. Give your voicemail a name and save it.

Your first voicemail is automatically set as your default, and Voicemail Drops are turned on.

Manage your voicemails

In Settings > Calls, use the voicemail menu next to the Voicemail toggle to:

  • Preview a voicemail

  • Rename it

  • Set it as your default

  • Delete it

  • Record or upload more voicemails

Use the Voicemail toggle to turn Voicemail Drops on or off. When it's off, the voicemail option doesn't appear in the dialer and the Parallel Dialer won't leave voicemails.

Drop a voicemail with the Amplemarket Dialer

  1. During a call, when you reach the prospect's voicemail, click the voicemail button in the call controls.

  2. Choose the voicemail to leave. Your default is selected automatically.

  3. Click Send and hang up.

You'll see a Voicemail on its way confirmation, and you can move on right away. Amplemarket waits for the beep and plays your recording.

If the voicemail button is grayed out with No voicemail configured, you haven't created a voicemail yet. Add one in Settings > Calls.

Voicemail Drops with the Parallel Dialer

When Voicemail Drops are on, the Parallel Dialer leaves your selected voicemail automatically whenever it detects a voicemail, instead of just hanging up.

  • Choose the voicemail to use from the Voicemail dropdown in the Parallel Dialer before you start dialing. You can't change it while a session is dialing.

  • If Voicemail Drops are off, calls that reach voicemail end without leaving a message.

Good to know

  • Voicemails can't be personalized. Voicemail Drops are pre-recorded, so they can't include dynamic fields like the prospect's name or company. We suggest recording a few versions for different personas or situations.

  • Automatic drops rely on voicemail detection. On the Parallel Dialer, if a greeting can't be confidently identified as a voicemail, no message is left on that call.
