What Are Templates?

Templates are pre-made messages designed to make your outreach quicker and more consistent. Think of them as your go-to messages that are ready to be used whenever you need. They save you time, allow for easy customization, and help you keep your communication on point.

With Amplemarket, templates can be used across emails and LinkedIn messaging. They also come with built-in metrics, such as opens, replies, and interested percentages, so you can track how well your messaging is performing.

Navigating the Templates Page

The Templates Page is your control center for everything related to templates. Here, you can find, create, edit, and manage all your templates, whether they’re private or shared with your team.

Below, we'll break down each part of the Templates Page to help you make the most out of it.

Templates Page Layout

The Templates Page is designed to give you easy access to your templates, streamline your workflow, and get valuable insights. Here’s what you’ll find:

  1. Search Bar: Use the search bar at the top left of the page to quickly locate a specific template. You can type in part of the template name and just hit Enter to see all the relevant results.

  2. Templates List: The list in the center of the Templates Page is where all your templates live. Here’s what you can see:

    • Template Name: Click on the name to open and edit the template. You can change anything about it—from the name to the content itself.
    • Content Preview: A snippet of what’s inside—subject and part of the body—so you know what each template is about at a glance.
    • Performance Stats: See how your templates are performing. You’ll get data like Sent Count, Open Rate, Reply Rate, and Interested % to gauge the effectiveness of each message across all linked sequences.
    • Linked Sequences: Displays the number of sequences linked to the template. Clicking on the count provides a detailed list of all linked sequences.
      • When a template is linked to a sequence stage, any edits to the template will automatically apply to all linked sequence stages.
      • This helps keep your messaging consistent but should be used with caution for live, ongoing sequences, as changes will be applied instantly.
    • Ownership and Details: Information about who created the template, who last updated it, and when it was last updated.
  3. Sorting Options: You can sort your templates by any of the columns—such as open rate or reply rate. Just click the arrow next to a column header and choose ascending or descending. This helps you quickly find what you need—like your top-performing templates.

  4. New Template Creation: Want to add a new email or LinkedIn message template? Just click on the "Email" or "LinkedIn" buttons on the top right. This will open up a new drawer where you can easily create your next template.

Template Type & Actions

  1. Template Type Icon

    • Each template comes with an icon that indicates whether it is intended for an email or a LinkedIn message. This visual cue helps you distinguish between different types of templates easily:

      • Email Templates: These can only be used with email stages in sequences.
      • LinkedIn Templates: These can only be used with LinkedIn connection or message stages.
  2. Actions (Edit and Delete): Each template has an actions menu represented by a three-dot icon. When you click on it, you have the following options:

    • Edit: Opens the template for modification. You can change everything from the template content to the permissions settings.
    • Delete: Permanently removes the template from the system.
      • Note: When a template is deleted, any sequence stage that was linked to that template will be unlinked. This means that the copy will remain in the sequence stage exactly as it was at the time of deletion, but any tracking metrics (e.g., open rates, reply rates) associated with the template will be lost permanently. Be sure to proceed with caution when deleting templates that are actively linked.
  3. Permissions (Shared or Private): An icon next to each template shows whether it is shared or private:

    • Shared Templates:
      • View only: Anyone in this organization can view and use this template.
      • View and Edit: Anyone in this organization can view, edit and use this template.
    • Private Templates: This template can only be accessed by you and organization admins.
