Previewing Templates

Previewing helps you see how your messages will appear to recipients—ensuring everything looks good and feels personal before linking it to Sequence stages. 

Why Preview Templates?

Previewing templates allows you to:

• Visualize Personalization: See how the dynamic fields, like {{first_name}} or {{company_name}}, will be replaced with actual information for each recipient.
• Catch Errors Early: Previewing helps you identify any issues with formatting, placeholders, or content before it's sent.
• Refine Tone and Flow: Get a better feel for how your message will read to recipients, ensuring your tone is consistent and engaging.

How to Preview a Template

Amplemarket makes it easy to preview your templates and ensure everything looks exactly as intended.

Steps to Preview a Template

1. Start by Editing or Creating a Template:

   • Navigate to the Templates Page and click on the row of an existing template or use the "Email" or "LinkedIn" buttons to create a new one.

2. Click the "Preview" Button:

   • Inside the Content Tab, you’ll notice a "Preview" button located near the bottom. Click this button to open the preview mode.

3. View the Sample Output:

   • The preview mode will simulate how the template will look when it's sent.
   • Sample Contact Information: Amplemarket uses a sample contact with pre-filled dynamic fields for this preview. This helps you visualize how the content will personalize for each recipient.
   • Here are some of the pre-filled values used for dynamic fields in the preview:
     • First Name: Jane
     • Last Name: Doe
     • Title: Chief Executive Officer
     • Company Name: Acme Labs
     • Industry: Software Development
     • Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Filling or Editing Dynamic Fields

• Editable Dynamic Fields:
  • If your template contains any custom dynamic fields not automatically pre-filled (e.g., {{insert_something_unique_here}}), you can click on the placeholder within the preview to fill in the value.
  • This makes it easier to verify that custom fields are correctly formatted.
• Editing Pre-filled Values:
  • You can also click on any pre-filled value, like Jane for First Name, and modify it to see how different values will affect the overall message.

Sending Test Emails for Email Templates

If you're creating an email template, you might want to see exactly how it will look in your inbox. Amplemarket has a handy way for you to do just that.

How to Send a Test Email

1. Click the "Preview" Button:

   • Open the Preview mode for your email template.

2. Send Test Email:

   • In the Preview section, you will find an option to "Send Test Email".
   • Clicking this button will send the email to your own email address, so you can experience it just as your prospects will.

3. Review the Test Email:

   • Check your inbox to view the test email.
   • Make sure all the formatting looks good, the dynamic fields are properly filled, and the tone feels right.
